2017 Holiday:

“You really can’t put a price on being able to turn up and be given a timetable. We could truly relax and just turn up at the allocated times – not something we get to do very often (ever!). Lovely fellow yogis, fantastic teachers, amazing horses in beautiful countryside and fabulous food, very lucky with the weather – there just wasn’t a thing we’d change.” M & S, 2017

“I just wanted to let you both know how much Karen and I enjoyed the holiday and your fab yoga sessions.  For me, it was a little slice of heaven – I’ve never been so chilled out.” K & K 2017

2016 holiday:

“The holiday had attracted me because as well as the yoga it is set in the most fantastic national park where we had wonderful guided walks to small unspoilt villages for lunch or a drink.  The wild flowers were amazing and our guide was very informative always pointing out things of interest.

I also have to mention the food.  The standard of the catering was extraordinary.  We were treated to wonderful local dishes all made with wonderful seasonal local ingredients – washed down with a really delicious local wine.  I am not sure I have ever stayed anywhere with such consistently good food.” Hilary, London , 2016 trip

Yoga and Walking  OR  Just a Walking Holiday in Andalucia, Sunday 21st to Saturday 27th May 2017

The holiday is fully booked now.

My friend and yoga teacher colleague Frankie and I are organising another week at Finca El Moro for guided walks in the hills of Andalusia, above Seville and optional extras  of  yoga, meditation, yoga nidra deep relaxation and horseriding and massage.

We travel to the very special Finca El Moro ( www.fincaelmoro.com) a remote hill farm of sweet chestnut, cork and olive trees set in its own secluded valley 3 kms from a main road in the the Sierra de Aracena National Park in the deep south west of Andalucia.

The holiday is very relaxed and easy going and people can choose to do all the guided walks or drop in and out as they wish. Independant walking is also possible on the surrounding walking trails.

For those who have  signed up for the yoga offered,  there will be two yoga classes available each day and you can  drop in and out of sessions as you choose. The yoga includes meditation and yoga nidra deep relaxation.  The yoga is  taught by myself and Frankie Duggan. We did our yoga teacher training together 19 years ago now, have been good friends ever since, and love to work together!

Accommodation is in en suite rooms in one of three lovely holiday cottages, tucked away in quiet corners of the farm, each with a swimming pool. There is a mix of shared, double, twin and single rooms.

The food is delicious, organic, and  much of it is grown and raised on the farm. Whether you eat meat and fish or are a vegetarian or vegan, you will be very well catered for. by Hermione who is an excellent cook. The guided walks are led by Nick from Finca el Moro will lead the walks through the rolling hills, flower meadows and sweet chestnut groves to local villages where lunch is provided for us in tavernas or tapas bars.Table 1016884_254569554722536_842393670_n

The holiday is an idyllic retreat from the speed and pressures of modern living. See the video link above to find out more about it.

All fabulous meals, guided walking, yoga and accomodation are included in the price

Yoga and guided walking: £225  + 750 Euros, for all-inclusive meals, guided walks and accommodation.

Just guided walking for person sharing a room with friend/partner doing yoga:  750 Euros, for all-inclusive meals, guided walks and accommodation.

Optional extras: horse riding and massage

Air fares and travel are not included in the price. Seville is the nearest airport and there are direct flights to Seville from Gatwick and Stansted. The Stansted flight with Ryanair departs and returns at very convenient times, avoiding early morning travel! Alternatively you can fly to Malaga and travel from there by bus or train to Seville.

There is a group transfer from Seville (airport, centre of town and the train station) to Finca el Moro (and back) which is currently arranged to meet the Stansted flight mid afternoon.

If you would like to share transport to and from UK airports, we will do our best to put people in touch with each other (or us) to do this. This worked really well last year and we all managed to travel with one or more companions.

“I took part in the Finca El Moro yoga week with Rebecca Frankie and Shona.  I am a relative beginner to Yoga but found the teaching supportive and very informative I never felt uncomfortable or excluded by my lack of knowledge and ability.  The holiday had attracted me because as well as the yoga it is set in the most fantastic national park where we had wonderful guided walks to small unspoilt villages for lunch or a drink.

“Finca el Moro provides the most glorious hillside retreat and perfect place to relax and unwind from the hustle and bustle of our busy lives. It’s set in the stunning Aracena National Park and is run by Nick and Hermione who tend the gardens and landscape beautifully. In May the wild flowers are abundant  and the land provides many of the ingredients for the delicious home cooked food we all enjoyed, which in itself was restorative.  Our yoga practices were lead by three wonderful yoga teachers: Frankie, Rebecca and Shona, who responded sensitively to individual needs, with practices developing as the week progressed.  In between yoga practice in the stunning yoga shala, Nick took us on very informative guided walks of the local area, sometimes with a stop for lunch or a drink. Swimming pools and horse-riding were also on hand for those who wanted more activities to enjoy.” – PM, May 2016 holiday
